…of the hustle culture & woeful environmental footprint of online shopping, I decided to throw the towel in on my mainstream business to ‘be the change’…
I’m now a full time farmer and when this drought fucks off, I hope to continue transforming my land from traditional monocultures into a thriving ecosystem guided by permaculture principles.
The Farm
My farm in the Macedon Ranges is where I have beehives and grow medicinal herbs. The big picture dream is to create browsing fodder forests where wildlife, pollinators, and my domestic livestock can coexist.
To earn a crust, I sell small-batch, zero waste herbal salves with honey, beeswax and home grown herbs.
Honey & honey products will be available in Spring/Summer.
Earthling & Equus is also a resource for people interested in learning about farming (particularly hobby farms & horse properties) & environmental stewardship.
Truth be told, I’m pretty new to this whole farming caper. I’m doing it solo, in a drought and I often have no idea what I’m doing.
However, I’m happily sharing my learnings (as well as my disasters) in the hopes that you can benefit from my mistakes.
The Stuff
Despite battling a crippling drought, I’m proud to be fostering a system where I use no synthetic fertilizers or chemical pesticides.
